Fashion Party Stationery
When I'm not teaching Fashion Stars I create and sell party and project printable's. Printables are PDF files that you buy download, then: print and cut out, simple.
My party printable collections include everything that you need to make your party look fantastic without spending loads.

Mad Monsters
I had a "Mad Monster Stuff n Sew Party" at the weekend. It was so much fun. The birthday girl picked her pre-made large monster parts: body, ears, arms, legs, and select the eyes. She picked a pink monster with stripy mouth hands and ears. I have lots of different colours to pick from. Then she stuffed and stitched her new monster friend.
Her party guests also selected their cute little monsters added eyes, then stuffed and stitched the cute critters.
Everyone coloured-in fun paper monsters and at the end of the party all the kids got to take their, drawings, monsters and sweets home in a goody bag.
Monster parties take 1.5hrs. I come to you. All you need is a table (or space for one as I can bring one if you need) and power for the machine to plug into.
Cost $25 per child.
This includes personalized email invitations,
finished monster toys to take home in a party bag with sweets,
and thank you notes!!

My Little Helper
I'm already working on creative projects for Fashion Stars students to make in my term 3 classes and my next holiday workshops. I know we are only just about to start term 2 but the time fly's when your having fun.
While designing and making some new hats I had a little helper...my cheeky cat Snoopy. He is still young and very inquisitive.
Oh and I made the gloves too... Rhianna eat your heart out!!!

My Fashion Stars students will have lots of hats to choose from :) Oh by the way the brimmed beannie was made out of an old jumper, so designers start saving up yours, mum's and dad's old clothes

Fashion Stars Holiday Workshops
Last Fashion Stars Holiday Workshops were so much fun. Students created some amazing garments, bags and shoes. We ended the week with a photo shoot by Gretel at Vivid Eye www.vivideye.com.au 0403 084 517.
Gretel is an amazing photographer, I was so excited to see the photos. She made the girls feel so relaxed and they had a great time.

Fashion Stars Window Display
One night in December I couldn't sleep, "How could I let more people know about Fashion Stars?
I had already put ads in the local paper a few times, printed up and handed out flyers, sent my e-news letter, had four editorials in the press. I just kept thinking what can I do that's creative and not to expensive? I need people to see Fashion Stars, then I though about the empty shops to let in Neutral Bay and Mosman. If I created a window display it would brighten up the place and showcase Fashion Stars at the same time. I was so excited I couldn't wait to call the real estate agents the next morning about my bright idea!
First thing I called Frank Bird at Peter Hill First National 02 9929 8944, he was so nice and keen on the idea too. By the end of the day he had a shop for me on 7 Waters Road, Neutral Bay for me. I got straight to work on my display and by the end of the week it was up.
The shop was been let out today, best off luck to the new owner.
Diane at Baby Boomer the neighbor in the shop next door she is so lovely, if you fancy a facial pop in and see her or call 02 9904 4476.
Every day I'm thinking about how market my new business. Fashion Stars has been so well received, I know it's going to be big, like all new businesses we just need to get the word out about our fantastic service.

I love these two books by Laird Borrelli. Fantastic for inspiration I'm a fan on Jason Brooks who is featured in Fashion Illustration now and Singh Sara featured in Fashion Illustration Next. Both books show artists using many types of media from pen and paper, to watercolour to Photoshop and Illustrator.

Alexander McQueen dies aged 40
A very sad day for the fashion world. Lee Alexander McQueen, fashion designer, born 17 March 1969 died 11 February 2010.
In 1992 Alexander started his MA at Central Saint Martins college London. His big breakthrough came in 1994 when his graduate collection caught the eye of the fashion stylist Isabella Blow. I graduated in 1995 and like all british design graduates followed his work. Most designers dream to have a career like his, creating his own label and working for a major fashion label. In 1996 he took up the role of chief designer at the Parisian fashion house Givenchy.
McQueen was the bad boy of fashion who was beloved by the establishment.

Little Fashion Stars
Today my little girl Bella created her first fashion story board and fashion design. I'm so impressed, she did a fantastic job and really loved doing it.
Bella and her friends are testing my new courses and kids fashion parties. I can't wait to start running and hosting them, watch this space.

Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2010
Alexander McQueen is one of my favorite designers, I love his silhouettes and tailoring.
His theme for this season exotic reptilian skins, inspired by snakeskin and butterfly wings. The models’ hair tight, plaits and wild strands behind them, with their faces built up at the bridge of the nose and forehead looked alien like, finished of with huge snakeskin platforms the styling was spot on. The reptilian alien feel looks quite Avatar like.
